Position Summary
We’re looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Manager to lead proactive internal and external communications for Nestlé Nutrition. You will lead and execute internal communications to build understanding and pride in the Nutrition business, alongside external stakeholder engagement strategies and campaigns. This includes direct engagement, responding to consultations, and providing senior leaders with expert support in their engagement activities. This is a unique opportunity to influence reputation, build trust, and engage key stakeholders across the UK & Ireland.
A day in the life of a Stakeholder Engagement Manager Nutrition
- Manage issues & crisis communications: Take the lead on sensitive topics, ensuring clear, accurate messaging internally and externally.
- Develop and deliver internal communications that inspire employees and create advocacy for Nestlé Nutrition.
- Plan and execute internal communication projects that support company-wide priorities and initiatives. Provide expert guidance to ensure brand messaging is accurate, clear, and aligned with business objectives.
- Lead stakeholder relations: Build and manage relationships with political stakeholders and NGOs. Respond to consultations and support policy development.
- Maintain Nestlé’s industry influence through trade association membership.
- Monitor external developments: Stay ahead of nutrition, health, and sustainability trends, providing timely insights and solutions.
- Media engagement: Handle media queries on infant nutrition matters to protect and enhance our reputation, providing consistent responses to sensitive and pervasive issues.
- Support senior leaders: Provide counsel and messaging guidance for business priorities and initiatives across shopper, brand and social media touchpoints.
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar environment that has enabled you to gain a broad understanding of either Public Affairs or Internal Communications, managing internal stakeholders and building effective relationships. You will have the ability to influence across all levels.
In addition to this you will also have;
- Experience within Public Affairs or stakeholder engagement, ideally in health, food, or FMCG sectors.
- Strong writing and communication skills, ability to simplify complex issues, and excellent stakeholder management.
- Leading issue and crisis communications development and delivery.
- Understanding of regulations, risk management, and social media environments.
- Ability to build networks with key stakeholders, internal and external
- Understanding of social media environment – ability to evaluate commentary and recommend response strategy
