Position Summary

For more than 30 years, our Management Development Associate program has developed our future leaders. This program allows you to embark on a personal and professional development experience a classroom can’t offer.

 

Joining Nestlé Purina as a Safety Management Development Associate means you're joining our factory family to play a key role in achieving our standards of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. Through a well-designed rotation of our factory functions, you’ll learn our operations, how they apply to quality assurance and how quality assurance interacts with other factory functions, such as production, engineering, information systems, supply chain, accounting, and human resources. Collaborating with your mentor and peers is critical in this role, as they will help you use your new business knowledge to assure quality standards for the duration of your program experience.

 

Why a leadership developmental role with us versus somewhere else? Taking the quality path of our Management Development Associate program is a full-time position that puts you on the fast track to management on the manufacturing side of our business. You are the future leader.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Train with all departments with the specific purpose of learning how safety interacts with these functions
  • Develop knowledge of compliance related to ISO 45001, OSHA, corporate, and factory specific standards and requirements
  • Assist in the development and execution of Operational Master Plan projects to contribute to the continuous improvement of the factory
  • Perform various tasks, including but not limited to delivering safety trainings and conducting assessments of risk 
  • Develop and demonstrate leadership, case management, and incident investigation skills and experience 

 

 

Basic Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Must be open to relocation to one or more of our 23 production facilities across the U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field attained or expected to by June 2022

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior co-op or practicum experience; manufacturing experience; student organization or other leadership experience.
