Position Summary

 

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. We also do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal.  Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives. 

 

As a Level 5 Utility Worker, you’ll ensure that production operations are met in a safe and efficient manner, provide quality products to various departments with minimum waste, and provide relief to operators for breaks and vacation. Additionally, you’ll assist at times, assume the Team Lead Role when needed.

Starting Pay: $31.32/hour 

 

Position requires the ability to work on 2nd (3pm – 11pm) or 3rd (11pm – 7am) shift and every other weekend. 

 

  • Cover and backup operators in Processing, Ingredient Prep & Receiving, and Packing departments. 
  • Operate a forklift loading and unloading trailers to the warehouse. 
  • Perform visual inspections of cans, monitor temperature of incoming and outgoing cans. 
  • Perform all Process, Ingredient Prep and Packaging Line Set Up. 
  • Record and keep records for good manufacturing practices. 
  • Comply with all Nestlé and plant-specific policies. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements

  • 6+ months experience working in a production capacity such as manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment 
  • Willingness to learn how to operate a forklift and obtain necessary certification 
  • Willingness to learn multiple jobs within the production environment 

  

Other 

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a production capacity such as a manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, industrial, military, related environment 
  • 1+ years’ experience operating a forklift 
  • 1+ years’ experience in using computer for data input, reporting, recording data and saving files

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $31.32. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
