As part of the Factory Finance Management team, the Sr Accounting Analyst (Materials Accounting Management) ensures that material flows are correctly accounted for in factory financials, inventory results are analyzed on a continuous basis, and material waste is minimized. This position has direct leadership oversight along with direct responsibility for continuous training and development of factory personnel on financial systems. This unique role has excellent career growth opportunities within the Factory Finance team, either at our Crete facility or any of our other 24 factories across the US. 

 

  • Establish and modify plant procedures by streamlining and improving the process to provide an effective Materials Control Program
  • Coordinate, audit and advise on all physical material inventories in respective Factory areas, to ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Together with direct reports, execute necessary materials accounting transactions, Health Checks and reconciliation, to ensure materials are correctly accounted for
  • Responsible for continuous analysis of variance results and losses on raw and packaging materials, and finished products. Provide plant management with analysis of inventory variances, yields and factory performance data.
  • Responsible for materials accounting as part of month-end close, Cost Forecasting and Budget processes
  • Coaching, mentoring and resource management of Materials Accounting Finance team

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ year supervisory experience
