POSITION SUMMARY:

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. We also do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal.  Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives.  

 

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer (Senior Staff Engineer), you’ll play a key role in Continuous Improvement initiatives for an expanding factory. By leading optimization efforts and expanding capacity of existing lines, you’ll work to reduce losses and waste while managing high-priority capital projects from beginning to end, including concept, scope, estimate, cost, resources, and funding. Strong understanding and working knowledge of electrical systems, electrical integration, and electrical requirements as they relate to a manufacturing environment is highly desired. 

 

  •  Develop, implement, and coordinate the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities. 
  •  Oversee design solutions in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary, and accounting procedures and specifications. 
  •  Direct the installation of new equipment and/or modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects, ensuring proper electrical integration. 
  •  Monitor outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting.
  •  Prepare estimates, schedules, and issuance of all documents/drawings for construction on assigned projects, including evaluating bids, awarding contracts, and issuing purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain electrical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.

 

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  •  5+ years' experience in an engineering or project management role within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment, with a focus on electrical responsibilities.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $89,000.00 - $124,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
