Our factory in Crete, Nebraska is simultaneously one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S., producing over one thousand tons of pet food per day including brands like Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. With the city of Lincoln just 25 miles from the factory, many of our associates find convenience in larger city living in Lincoln and embrace the short commute to the quainter city of Crete.  


The Senior Engineering Project Manager will manage capital projects from end to end. You could manage multiple projects or one large project at times, all in support of our manufacturing operations. A key role will be to maintain visibility to the design process and assure adherence to all established key components and project deliverables. Come prepared to directly manage overall project execution including scope, cost, engineering design review, bidding, construction, communication with key business stakeholders, and commissioning. You will organize work assignments for the cross-functional teams executing these projects as well.
 

  • Develop project management plans and maintain milestone schedules
  • Adhere to project scope and secure approvals for all changes
  • Oversee and control project budget, cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and status reports
  • Manage bidding and prequalification vetting processes
  • Evaluate, select, and issue contracts for construction firms
  • Direct installation, construction, and commissioning
  • Provide plant startup assistance as needed

 


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience in a Manufacturing, Industrial, Military, or related environment

 


The approximate pay range for this position is $129,000 to $180,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
