Position Summary:

As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in Continuous Improvement initiatives for an expanding factory. You will lead optimization and increase capacity of existing lines, working to reduce losses and waste. You will also manage high-priority capital projects from beginning to end, including concept, scope, estimate, cost, resources, and funding. In this role, you will be the voice of your larger team as you coordinate cross-functionally with leaders, employees, and contractors in the successful management and execution of key projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities 

  •  Develop, implement, and coordinate the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities, including electrical systems. 
  •  Develop design/solutions in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary, and accounting procedures and specifications, with a focus on electrical responsabilities. 
  •  Direct the installation of new equipment and/or modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects, ensuring proper electrical integration. 
  •  Monitor outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting, specifically in relation to electrical work. 
  •  Prepare estimates, schedules, and issuance of all documents/drawings for construction on assigned projects, with attention to electrical requirements.
  •  Evaluate bids, award contracts, and issue purchase orders, considering electrical aspects of the project. 
  •  Provide engineering consulting service to business teams, offering expertise in electrical systems.
  •  All other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  •  5+ years' experience in an engineering or project management role within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment, with a focus on electrical responsabilities. 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $89,000.00 - $124,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
