Electrical Engineering Technician

Nestle Factory

Dalston (Near the Lake District)

Salary of circa £32k plus potential bonus and excellent benefits including company pension

 

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. In order to produce these products there are a number of vital services which are required to be delivered by the Industrial Services team including; Steam, Refrigeration, Process Water, Effluent Management and Ventilation to name but a few.

 

Position Summary

 

We are currently looking to recruit an electrical technician to join our dedicated Industrial Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious technician who has the drive to continually improve the Industrial Services systems and engage in TPM methodology.

A day in the life of an Electrical Maintenance Technician...

 

Part of the daily duties will involve the Electrical Maintenance of systems within the Industrial Services Dept. Undertaking planned and breakdown maintenance across the factory, as required. Working on assets including Lighting, Small Power, RCD’s, Portable Equipment, and Cooling Towers etc.

 

The position will be normally based on an 8 Hour day, Monday-Friday. With the opportunity to cover, 12-hour days as and when required.

What will make you successful

 

Working under minimal supervision, the applicant will be self-driven with excellent communication skills. They will have served a Technical Apprenticeship, with experience of working with Industrial Services systems. We are looking for a proactive attitude and drive to pursue improvements from start to finish.

 

Ideally (but not essential) the applicant will be BOAS certified to allow Boiler operation as well as maintenance.
