Location: Location Flexible – the successful candidate can be based at any of the following locations: Dalston Factory / Tutbury Factory / Gatwick or York Offices
Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on experience + potential 8% annual bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join the Procurement team as a Procurement Specialist, working with the Beverages Business Partnering team. This is a diverse role with multiple opportunities to interact with stakeholders at all levels, whilst enabling internal and external exposure to demonstrate your ability to influence & engage cross functionally.
You will have the opportunity to work with external suppliers and be part of zone project teams adding value back into the business; this includes areas such as process optimisation.
A day in the life of a Procurement Specialist
You will be responsible for understanding, communicating and helping to implement sourcing strategies for new or changing Raw & Pack materials and on boarding of new suppliers, at a local market level. You will gather data and convey local material requirements from our Factories/Business to a range of people within the Procurement organisation including Zone Procurement Business Partners, Local Sourcing teams and Above Market Stakeholder teams in order to implement the strategy. You will also liaise with cross-functional stakeholders to determine your areas of focus.
Key responsibilities include-
- Work with Head of Procurement and Business Partners to integrate sourcing plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning & forecasting processes
- Provide insight to the Zone Business Partner on emerging needs & trends from the Factory & Business
- Carry out weekly and monthly operational activities including Supplier Performance Management, Price Forecasting, Contract Management, Material Master Data housekeeping and attending Project meetings.
- Engage with local suppliers to help with any supplier development activities, or identifying new supplier opportunities as directed by category and sourcing teams
- Adding value by being an integral part of Business innovation & renovation projects which will enable us to explore value creation opportunities with our supplier base
- Be the link between Supply Chain and our Global or Local sourcing teams, whereby providing input into the Supplier Risk Mitigation Strategy.

To be successful, your knowledge of operations within Nestlé will be advantageous. We will consider candidates with either an understanding of direct materials within operations or a knowledge of procurement processes.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Being able to multitask & be resilient whilst working under pressure
- Strong results focus & excellent influencing skills
- Good level of numeracy skills & to be tenacious
Additional skills/attributes that would be of advantage
- Previous experience of successfully leading projects
- Understanding of Risk Management
- SAP/Globe knowledge
- Financial awareness
