We are recruiting for a Technical Stores Manager at our state-of-the-art Coffee Manufacturing plant in Dalston, Cumbria. This is a permanent opportunity which will report into the Factory Engineering Manager.
Nestlé’s Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. It is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Nescafé, Aero Hot Chocolate and Coffee-mate. The factory is moving forward with continuous improvement principles and actively developing Lean/TPM processes so it’s an exciting time to be involved.

Your impact
Ultimately, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance of the store levels on site, with a particular focus on our Engineering parts availability. You will be responsible for stock availability and relevant KPI's as well as invoicing suppliers as required.
Your other key responsibilities will include:
- Receive deliveries from suppliers ensuring correct allocation and maintain globe by creating stock items and maintaining MRP data.
- Manage all activities for spare parts, such as receiving and issue, storage and reorder.
- Analyse slow moving parts to ensure no obsolete parts are being held on stock.
- Establish and execute inventory control including cycle counting, access process and training.
- Create Master data and reorder levels for new spare parts using Excel.
- Drive continuous improvement in the area looking at cost optimisation and workplace transformation.
Your ingredients for success
To be successful in this role you will already have a proven track record within a Stores Management role, ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
Other criteria:
- Evidence of working with a Stores Management system or other relevant Computer system.
- Proficient user in MS Office, ideally with experience of invoicing.
- FLT Licence is desirable but not essential.
