Position Summary
Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle® brands.

We are looking for an Associate Production Manager to join our team in Davenport. As an Associate Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the daily operational activities of our production teams. You will be at the forefront of coaching, mentoring, and eliminating roadblocks for your team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role is designed as a training and development pathway, with the potential to advance into a Production Manager position.
- Lead and support your team in daily operational tasks, driving them forward with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
- Be present on the production floor, coaching team members and addressing any roadblocks.
- Assist in the execution of production plans, tackling both people-related and technical challenges.
- Utilize tools like PowerBI and PowerApps to support project management and operational improvements.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and provide problem-solving expertise.
- Must be willing to relocate within 12-24 months to any of our US factories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or a related environment
- 2+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience
The approximate pay range for this position is $88,000 to $130,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
