Position Summary

Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable electricity technology. Our factory works to do our part to care for the environment, like investing in renewable electricity, conserving water and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle®.

The Electrical Apprentice position offers a unique opportunity to bridge academic knowledge with real-world applications in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced Maintenance Electricians, gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights into electrical systems with the guidance of a dedicated mentor. 

• Provide electrical support for the safe installation, assembly, and repair of machines, safety systems, and associated components.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Collaborate with Engineering and IT personnel on maintenance and installation initiatives linked to corporate goals.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in compliance with safety guidelines and NPPC manufacturing systems.
• Demonstrate competencies in both minor mechanical and electrical skills, adhering to Nestlé Purina values and culture.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled full-time or willing to enroll full-time in a technical program for a certificate or degree in manufacturing technology.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $31.00. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
