Position Summary

As the Human Resources Generalist you will provide HR support to the Davenport factory in the areas of performance management, labor and employee relations, policy interpretation, recruiting, leave management, HR administrative processes, and more. You will provide support to the Human Resources Manager, including acting as a back-up in their absence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruiting process for hourly and salaried positions including effective partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide counsel and support to associates and leaders to maintain a productive and positive work environment, reaching fair and consistent resolutions in line with guidelines and employment law.
  • Support implementation of new or updated policies, advising leaders to ensure consistency of interpretation.
  • Serve as resource for Leave Management including Leave of Absence, Short-term and Long-term Disability, FMLA, PTO, and other areas.
  • Assist in managing the salary payroll system.
  • Be fully involved and actively participate in all Nestle Purina Programs and Initiatives. These include but are not limited to NCE, Training and Development, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a professional Human Resources role in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Labor relations experience strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
