Position Summary

 

For more than 30 years, our Management Development Associate program has developed our future leaders. This program allows you to embark on a personal and professional development experience a classroom can’t offer.

You'll be coached from the beginning, solidifying your career trajectory to learn and grow as a Human Resource Management Development Associate. By joining Nestle Purina you’ll experience information systems, quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, human resources, production, R&D engineering, and operations performance to understand how each of these areas collaborate with the human resource management work that you’ll do. Following from there, you’ll experience developing and maintaining employee relations, training, compensation, and benefits.

Why a leadership developmental role with us versus somewhere else? Taking the human resource path is a full-time position that’s a fast track to management on the manufacturing side of the business. You’re the future leader of our business!

• Maintain communications with the Plant Manager, Department Managers and Team Leaders on all matters relating to and affecting all employees.
• Assists with the implementation of employee services, policies, training, and programs.
• Supports training and learning for safety, capital projects, special projects, technical and function training.
• Coordinates employees leave and return to work (FMLA, worker’s comp, etc.)
• Administers employee benefits and assists in coordination of paid time off.
• Adheres to compliance of local, state, and federal legislation in relation to HR policies.
• Serves as a resource to all factory employees, providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements
• Must be open to relocation to one or more of our 22 production facilities across the U.S.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related discipline attained or expected by December 2023.

• Prior co-op or practicum experience; manufacturing experience; student organization or other leadership experience
