Position Summary
Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable electricity technology. Our factory works to do our part to care for the environment, like investing in renewable electricity, conserving water and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle®.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be a key member of our warehouse team and will assist with keeping shipping activities running smoothly and effectively. You’ll manage all shipping-related functions including assisting the team leader to assure timely and accurate loading of inbound and outbound products, as well as provide loading information and paperwork for off-line loads.
This position will be on back shift (6pm – 6am) and will work a continuous operations schedule (36-hour workweek followed by a 48-hour workweek).

- Perform all clerical duties directly related to warehouse activity.
- Check drivers in and out, while aiding loaders in locating product.
- Prepare and maintain productivity reports, shipping documents, pick/load slips and various other shipping office paperwork.
- Coordinate movement of trailers.
- Assist with the transfer of products between factory and outside storage.
- Prioritize and manage workload with various tools.
- Work with the Transportation group and Team Leader to make sure the complete office operates as efficiently as possible.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years’ logistics and administrative experience in a manufacturing, transportation, industrial, warehouse, military or related environment
The approximate pay range for this position is $40,000 to $55,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
