POSITION SUMMARY

 

Located in North America's wind belt, Davenport proudly stands at the forefront of renewable energy technology. Since 1927, it has been home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities. Originally focused on cereal production, the factory transitioned to become a pet food-only manufacturer in the late '90s. Today, it holds the distinction of being the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S. With utmost care, our dedicated team in Davenport produces, packages, and ships a wide range of our beloved brands including Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle®.

 

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll oversee the maintenance crew in our Davenport, IA facility, ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance with quality and environmental standards. Flex your leadership skills as you manage day-to-day operational issues, coordinate work schedules, and foster a safety-first work environment.   • Supervise assigned Maintenance Technicians.
  • Coordinate work schedules, overtime, permits to work, and risk predictions.
  • Write work orders, purchase requisitions, and contracts for OSC.
  • Manage crew and contractors on factory down weekends.
  • Spend time on the plant floor supervising, coaching, and conducting safety talks.
  • Reduce equipment downtime and maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Work with storeroom personnel to maintain expected sanitation levels and PM compliance.
  • Involve in TPM/NCE activities.

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000 to $123,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
