POSITION SUMMARY
Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle® brands.
We are seeking a meticulous and highly communicative Production Planning & Scheduling Coordinator to join our team in Davenport, IA. This pivotal role supports the day-to-day delivery appointments and product supply activities essential to our factory's operation. As a key member of our production planning team, you will ensure the smooth flow of materials and accurate execution of production schedules.
- Provide support in planning processes for Dry Pet production, including entering information about available packaging supplies, substitutions, and incoming supplies.
- Build and maintain Bill of Materials, Master Recipes, and Production Versions to ensure uninterrupted production. Accurately convert planned production orders into process orders and maintain various databases and spreadsheets.
- Update and save production schedules. Run transactions for the production process and create process orders for repacks, reworks, rebundles, transformations, and stickering projects.
- Support the Packaging Coordinator with daily tasks and process claims for defective packaging supplies.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure data integrity and seamless communication across teams.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years of administrative office experience
The approximate pay range for this position is $43,000 to $58,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
