POSITION SUMMARY

 

Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle® brands. 

 

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing actions of warehouse team members who perform receiving, storage and shipping functions in support of plant production operations. You will foster a safe work environment, ensure all quality standards are met, and be responsible for the proper management of day-to-day operational and environmental issues. 

 

  • Communicate with managers, team leaders, team members, and clerical staff in other plant departments on matters pertaining to warehouse operations.
  • Ensure warehouse operations are safe, sanitary, efficient, cost effective, and meet all NQS standards.
  • Train and provide technical guidance to shift team members, assigning work tasks to team members and monitoring task accomplishment. 
  • Ensure team members have the proper tools, supplies, and equipment needed for successful task completion. 
  • Coordinate with the following people on a routine basis (verbal, meetings and email) to ensure warehouse effectively supports plant operations: Warehouse Team Leaders, Production Team Leaders and Managers, Ops Planning Staff, Plant Manager.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime.

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, military, or related environment

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $50,000 to $83,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
