POSITION SUMMARY

 

Located in North America’s wind belt, Davenport is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and has remained home to one of our largest manufacturing facilities since 1927. Originally producing cereal, the factory became a pet food-only manufacturer in the late ‘90s and as the largest pet food manufacturing facility in the U.S., it carefully produces, packages, and ships several varieties of our Dog Chow®, Puppy Chow®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Purina ONE®, Cat Chow®, Friskies®, and Kit N Kaboodle® brands.

As a Warehouse Supervisor at our Davenport location, you will be the cornerstone of our warehouse operations. You will lead a dedicated team on the back shift, ensuring the seamless execution of receiving, storage, and shipping functions that support our plant's production operations. Your leadership will foster a safe, efficient, and cost-effective work environment that meets all factory and company standards.

 

  • Team Leadership: Train and guide your team, assign tasks, and ensure they have the tools and resources needed for success.
  • Administrative Excellence: Maintain training records, manage schedules, and ensure accurate documentation of warehouse operations.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with production team leaders, transportation staff, and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Set goals for your team, monitor performance, and seek opportunities for operational enhancements.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize and develop proficiency in warehouse management systems and other software tools to optimize operations.

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, transportation, manufacturing, military, or related environment
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $50,000 to $83,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
