POSITION SUMMARY: 
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Transportation Sr. Specialist focused on customer service, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience collaborating across functions to improve results, understanding carrier performance, and understands transportation systems and how they connect across the entire supply chain. This role requires a strong problem solver, systems expert, and a leader who spearheads initiatives to enhance service levels.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure On-Time Delivery

  • Monitor and manage the delivery schedules to ensure all shipments are delivered on time to meet customer expectations.
  • Address and resolve any delivery issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer.
  • Work closely with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments, including logistics, warehousing, sales, and customer service to align transportation activities with overall business goals.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across teams to ensure a seamless supply chain process.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss and resolve any transportation-related issues.

3. Service Improvement Initiatives

  • Lead and participate in initiatives aimed at improving service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure and track service improvement initiatives.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and transportation systems.

 

SKILLS:

  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex transportation issues.
  • Systems Expertise: Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and related software.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead initiatives and projects to improve service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality

The approximate pay range for this position is $74,250 to $101,500 Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
