Position Summary
Aside from its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery and remaining a mecca for some of the country’s best brews, Denver has consistently ranked in the ‘Top 10 pet-loving cities’ and ‘Top 5 dog-friendly cities’ year over year. Nestlé Purina has a proud presence in this mile-high city, having been in operation since 1930. Its first 42 years in operation were primarily to produce livestock feed until the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972. Since then, the location became the first-ever pet food factory to utilize solar energy. To date, we’re proud to sustainably produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE® and Pro Plan®.
As a Production Data Coordinator, you will work closely with the manufacturing and materials handling teams within the factory to support the collection, entry and reporting of manufacturing and inventory management functions. Your work directly impacts operations planning, costing and production efficiency. You understand the manufacturing environment and collaborate effectively with the production and materials accounting teams to monitor data and make recommendations for improvements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record and track all production activities within the manufacturing systems.
- Perform master data maintenance including entry and validation of materials requirements and production planning metrics.
- Reconcile materials usage transactions and resolve variances.
- Perform inventory management functions such as cycle counts, variance analysis and balance reconciliation.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams such as production, operations, quality and accounting.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience (Years/Type):
- 1+ years’ experience with materials, accounting, inventory or production systems in a manufacturing, military or related environment
*Must be willing to work a 3rd shift schedule.*
This position has a minimum salary of $42,000. Please note that the salary provided is a good faith estimate for the position. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, which include a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
