Position Summary

In addition to its 300 days of annual sunshine, breathtaking scenery, and reputation for some of the country's best brews, Denver ranks among the top 10 in Forbes’ 'Best cities for dogs 2024' list. We are honored to have a strong presence in this mile-high city, as we have been operating here since 1930. Initially focused on producing livestock feed, the plant transitioned into a pet food-only manufacturer in 1972. Notably, our Denver location became the first-ever pet food factory to harness the power of solar energy. We take great pride in our sustainable practices, as we currently produce 260,134 tons annually of Dog Chow®, Cat Chow®, Kit n Kaboodle®, Alpo®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE Beyond®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan® in an environmentally friendly manner. 

This position is responsible for providing support to our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for facilitating and promoting team and departmental goals, as well as safety in everyday activities and all work methods. The Logistics Coordinator will coordinate receiving and shipping operations in our finished goods warehouse, ensuring efficient and timely loading and unloading. Additionally, this role will provide systems technical assistance to forklift operators and data stewards, resolving any issues that arise during normal warehouse operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various information system tools to prioritize and manage loading and unloading workload.
  • Coordinate dock operations, including dock door assignment and trailer spotting, to maximize dock capacity and ensure proper workload sequencing.
  • Assign loading and unloading work to forklift operators, highlighting any special customer packaging, loading platforms, or inventory requirements.
  • Monitor the status of intra-plant and inter-plant replenishment orders to ensure timely arrival of needed product.
  • Print pick lists, review completed pick lists for accuracy, completeness, and enter order adjustments and shipping paperwork.
  • Provide systems technical assistance to forklift operators and data stewards, resolving any WMS exceptions, RF problems, inventory and location variances, and other situations that arise.
  • Assist Manager and Team Leaders in documenting procedures, training new hires, and evaluating the performance of team personnel.
  • Perform warehouse office clerical functions and other duties as assigned, including running and printing production reports, routine queries, filing, copying, etc.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years clerical/clerk experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, military, or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $50,592 - $60,759.30. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
