Position Summary

 

In a typical 24-hour production cycle, we conduct 30,000 documented quality checks involving ingredient/packaging, receiving, processing, and packing. That’s how much we care. As a Quality Assurance Technician (Ingredients) you will be responsible for administering ingredient training and audit programs for the unloading area, ensuring the availability and validation of ingredient sampling/testing equipment, and conducting routine lab testing of ingredients. They will monitor compliance with key checkpoints, specifications, and procedures, facilitate ingredient-related communications across the organization, and handle supplier communication.

 

  • Administer ingredient audit programs for the unloading area.
  • Ensure availability, validation, and condition of ingredient sampling/testing equipment.
  • Conduct routine lab testing of ingredients and monitor compliance with key checkpoints, specifications, and procedures.
  • Facilitate ingredient-related communications across the organization and handle supplier communication.
  • Generate routine summary and exception reports for ingredient results and monitor ingredients for trends.
  • Support ingredient acceptance decisions, referee sampling and re-sampling for rejection of ingredients, and participate in the Mycotoxin P Test program.
  • Communicate with incoming trucking personnel and inform them of the testing progress as needed.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 + years working in quality, food, production, manufacturing, military, and related environment.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $39,000 to $62,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
