ABOUT THE ROLE

Looking to accelerate your engineering career? As an Automation Project Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience in automation, commissioning, and project execution within a world-class manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll help deliver solutions that improve factory performance, reliability, and operational excellence. This is a 12-month contract opportunity ideal for engineers looking to build their career in manufacturing automation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support automation projects from design review, installation, commissioning, start-up, and handover.
• Coordinate with suppliers, system integrators, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Support implementation and integration of PLC, HMI, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and production trials.
• Monitor project timelines, technical issues, risks, and action plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards throughout project implementation.
• Prepare project documentation, training materials, and handover packages for factory teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reliability, and automation performance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Control Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 2-4 years of experience in automation, controls, electrical, maintenance, or project engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to automation projects, equipment installation, commissioning, or process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, and instrumentation systems.
• Familiarity with Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of English.
