  • Working time: Mon-Fri (08:00 – 17:15)
  • Reporting line: Factory Controller

 

MAIN JOB PURPORSE

 

To support and assist the Factory Controller in delivering the business partnering role to support Factory Management in decision making process

•          To be the key finance support for the shop floor to drive potential cost improvements and recommend corrective actions

•          Accurate analysis and interpretation of factory variances

•          Ensure no misappropriation of factory asset control

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Monthly variance reporting: Execute and analyze monthly variance reports for Fixed Factory Overhead (FFOH), Material Price, Zero Material Unit Variance (ZMUV), Local Unit Value (LUV), and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
  • Ensure the accuracy of data for period-end closing, financial reporting, budget processing, and compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards (NAS) and Costing Standards for Manufacturing (CSM).
  • Budget Collaboration: Work closely with relevant departments to develop the annual factory budget, update demand forecasts, and revise actual expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Inventory Forecasting: Collaborate with departments to forecast ending inventory and manage the write-off of materials and spare parts in support of working capital reviews and insurance purposes.
  • New Product Costing: Deliver new product costing and provide costing data for decision-making support to the Supply Chain Controller, in consultation with R&D and other stakeholders.
  • Assets Management: Assist engineers in classifying fixed assets and validating depreciation rates to ensure alignment with Nestlé Accounting Standards.
    • Waste Monitoring: Monitor waste and scrap levels against targets, reporting deviations and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
    • Inventory Management: Conduct periodic inventory counts, monitor stock results, and assist in following up with stock owners for corrective actions.
    • Costing Improvement Initiatives: Challenge existing assumptions and identify opportunities for factory cost improvements. Act as a cost controller, providing costing advice and simulations for new projects/products.
    • Costing Awareness Training: Increase awareness of costing among non-financial staff through coaching and training.
    • Compliance Support: Support the factory controller in leading compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to best practices and robust internal controls around costing.
    • Support the factory controller on best practice implementation in order to demonstrate robust internal controls around costing respects
    • Continuous Improvement Participation: Engage in and implement factory programs and activities related to Nestlé Continuous Excellence, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S, occupational health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Management Accounting/ Economics or relating majors
  • A minimum of 4-year experience in Costing/ Management Accounting / Finance in multinational corporations, preferably in manufacturing environment / FMCG
  • Good command of English
  • Strong stakeholder management across levels
  • Good organizational and planning skills; proactive, result-oriented, self-driven mindset
  • Familiar with SAP system or similar ERP platforms
  • Proficient in digital tools and data analytics platforms (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Query) will be a strong advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of local accounting & reporting guidelines
  • Good knowledge of business principles and best practices to ensure sustainability of business and drive continuous improvement
  • Solid understanding of product and brand profitability
  • Good knowledge of control issues and framework for stewardship/governance
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing conversion process, industrial footprint and physical / technical aspects of a factory
