POSITION SNAPSHOT

POSITION SUMMARY
- Develop new packaging materials according to the new product brief.
- Review packaging job requests from the Marketing Department and provide them with the packaging specification sheet.
- Propose the technical drawing for artwork development for all packaging and ensure its correctness.
- Act as a project manager for new product development projects, in packaging-oriented aspects.
- Co-ordinate with other departments for packaging-related issues such as new product development to ensure that the quality and timeline of packaging are suitable for the new products.
- Test and qualify new packaging suppliers as well as alternative materials
- Participating in the Vendor Approval Process for Packaging
- Evaluate adequate and suitable materials to improve performance, quality, cost and environmental impact.
- Conduct the packaging trial in the production line to ensure its quality, operation performance and compatibility with the production line.
- Ensure that all developed packaging complies with the Company's packaging policy, Standards, Best practices and Regulations.
- Conduct shelf-life tests for packaging development.
- Conduct the transportation test to ensure the packing alignment/packing configuration and the strength of the packaging material along the whole chain, if needed.
- Lead AG team & cross-functional team for problem-solving related to packaging. Coordinate for saving projects related to packaging.
- Coordinate activities such as KPI, reports, training, and sharing knowledge with cross-functional teams.
- Create and maintain Packaging data on SAP (item code, specification, BOM,…), ensure PM specification in the system is updated
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology, Material Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the food packaging industry or in the same position.
- Proven track record of leading product development initiatives, demonstrating strong project management skills
- Successful experience managing and leading projects involving collaboration across multiple departments or functions.
