Nestlé Cameroon is currently looking for a Decision Support Specialist who will work closely with the Decision Support Team lead. Together, establish and provide accurate and timely financial data to ensure fact-based decision making

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Co-Piloting Roles:                                                 
  • Provide accurate and timely product performance to enhance quality of decision making to Category Managers and other top-level managers.                    
  • Prepare reports for management information, planning and decision-making and to assist management in financial control functions to enable corrective actions be taken where necessary.                                            
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of dynamic forecast.                                              
  • Perform financial scenario studies of new product launch, Price change, change in sourcing for management's decisions (go/no go).                                                    
  • Participate in Business Unit Review meeting every month with Categories.   
  • Perform adhoc request for Categories.     

 

  • Functional Responsibilities:                                            
  • Preparation and co-ordination of Annual Target setting process, Dynamic Forecast – Monthly and the Market Business Strategy.                                           
  • Preparation of Profitability, Economic Profit and Invested Capital by products, product group for Tropical Cluster                                        
  • Responsible for Selling Price calculation of own & imported products as well as Transfer price calculation                                           
  • Preparation of Monthly reports such as Sales Statistics, Summary table, Quality of Sales, Management Letter, DF Letter, PFME report.                                                       
  • Preparation of Investment Budget for Nestle Cameroun Head office / Distribution Centre and Investment Appraisal / Financial Justification for Major Investments.                      
  • Publication of monthly and quarterly report in company's database (Magnitude)                       
  • Ensure correctness of master data for DS related finance activities and incorporation of best practices from time to time.                                                      
  • Preparation of Operational expense budget (MOGE) budget for Nestlé Cameroun.        
  • Prepare and lead Monthly Gap and Forecast Review meeting in collaboration with DSP team.                                               
  • Period End Closing activities (Ensure correct postings of business MOGE, FDC, OVE, VDE, OPFE, and review COGS variation…).                                                        
  • Perform monthly budgetary control report (MOGE and CAPEX)                                                  
  • Work closely with the Decision Support Team Lead in preparing the monthly presentation of DF call                                           
  • Perform adhoc requests from stakeholders                                               

                                          

 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • Prior experience in Accounting / Finance function
  • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience is a plus
  • Participation in Efficiency and Best Practice Projects
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, management, or a related field. 
  • 2 to 3 years of professional experience in management control or a similar position.  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in French and English language
  • Great Interpersonal & collaboration skills
  • Very proactive & has a positive mindset
  • Can work under pressure
  • Proficiency in financial management tools and reporting software (Excel, SAP, PowerBI, Microsoft Office suite)
  • Project management experience is a plus.
