Nestlé Cameroon is currently looking for a Detailed Production Scheduler who manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that also considers the distribution costs.

The individual will also build production plans respecting the agreed level of available capacity to ensure that finished and semi-finished goods are available with high freshness, at the right stock location to meet customer demand whilst minimizing cost

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy customer needs considering the network complexity and the supply constraints.
  • Plan and optimize mixed loads considering transportation constraints
  • Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location
  • Analyze exceptions, to take business decisions (based on priorities or after arbitration) and to adjust planning results accordingly. Establish production requirements for short and long term and to follow up production plans.
  • Establish stock policies for Finished Goods. To do this for Inter Market Supply together with Planners of Receiving Markets. Periodically review the stock level of the domestic and the receiving markets to pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations.
  • Determine key issues with volume variance that may impact supply by:
  • challenging existing Logistics and Supply Planning processes and tools
  •  implementing improvements to deliver tangible benefits (e.g.: time savings, increased efficiencies, etc.)
  • Analyse and effectively communicate relevant information
  • Highlighting all supply issues
  • Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related trade offs
  •   Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the Business Planning process
  • Monitoring requirements evolution
  • Challenge manufacturing on regular basis to manage lot sizes, cycle times, to drive optimum FG inventory level. Also, challenges and supports Demand Planner (Domestic and IMS) to improve Demand Planning Accuracy
  •  Deliver sustained IMS Performance
  •  Establishes an 18-month production plan for the factories within their responsibility (including sub/contracting factories where within scope of role)
  • Creates a feasible production plan that respects capacity defined (available capacity)
  •  Establishes Committed Capacity, including timing proposals for plant shutdowns, investments etc.
  •  Provides information on labour requirements through Committed Capacity
  •  Identifies possible opportunities and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 18-month horizon
  • Contribute to cross functional planning activities such as MPR according to Best Practice.
  • Actively supports the Strategic Volume Planning process (i.e. Capex Planning)

 

 

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL?

  • Two or more years of relevant operational experience at market / business level, in at least one of the following areas:
  • Factory Planning
  •  Supply Network Planning / IMSP
  •  Purchasing
  •  Factory Production Team Lead
  •  Demand Planning
  •  Industrial Performance
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, procurement or any relevant field
  • Experience in the following processes would be highly beneficial:
  • Customer Service
  • Product Life Cycle process
  •  Factory Master Data Management
  •  CAPEX
  • Strategic Planning / MBS
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Knowledge in PowerBI is an added advantage
