POSITION SUMMARY

The main purpose of this role is to ensure compliant labeling and effective communication for food supplements and food for special medical purposes. This includes providing input to business and technical teams in local innovation and regulatory projects, as well as establishing relationships with relevant authorities and associations.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
- Keep up to date with local and international regulatory knowledge, such as Codex, EFSA and GSO, and share this knowledge with RSA team and various functions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Infant Nutrition and Food for Special Medical purposes and the food supplement regulations at both local and international levels, including standards set by EFSA and Codex Alimentarius.
- Contribute as a key member to local (I&R) projects. Be assigned as a regulatory collaborator and/or leader in the I2L system.
- Propose & implement validated action plans in response to regulatory changes in the market.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of recipes, raw materials, products, labeling, and all forms of product communication by closely collaborating with marketing, nutritionists, the quality department, and application groups to ensure product compliance and contributing to relevant networks.
- Develop or update current labels to ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate compliance guidelines, EFSA, Codex, new formulations, formula upgrades, market requirements, and to support new product launches or geographical expansions.
- Archive all project documents, including but not limited to final artworks, approval forms, and reference documents, in both soft and hard copies.
What will make you successful…
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulatory Affairs or in close contact with regulatory environment (food association, industry or governmental authorities).
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with valid licensing for practice from MOHAP.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, persuasive capabilities based on science and logic, and the ability to effectively communicate complex regulatory information to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications “PowerPoint, and Excel”.
- The ideal candidate should be results focused, insightful, and proactive.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong Communication and Negotiation skills.
- Full proficiency in both English and Arabic language skills.
