It's a three-day, professional development and hiring event, taking place from August 9-11, 2022, for college students of diverse backgrounds! If selected to participate in the symposium, you will learn about Nestle’s wining culture, network with peers & current Nestlé employees, and interview for our 2023 Nestlé Human Resources Generalist Internship!

What to expect for the 2023 Human Resources Generalist Internship:
The HR Generalist Internship helps lead the administration of facility HR policies and programs that help continue Nestlé’s ability to attract, engage, and retain the most competitive talent. This may cover duties in several of the following practices: interviewing, onboarding, Nestlé Continuous Excellence methodology (Leadership Development), HR administration, and employee relations & counseling. This position may assist in developing policies, and the HR Generalist Intern must have a strong focus on continuously improving talent acquisition, employee development, and people engagement practices. 

 

Key Outputs / Deliverables

  • Helps lead the coordination of recruiting and onboarding of all NQAC staff; including direct placement of talent acquisition and staffing vendor management that lead to the best possible talent acquisition and retention.
  • Assist with employee guidance and counseling to ensure a positive workplace and culture.
  • Help facilitate NQAC staff onboarding and processing to support and accelerate new hire staff’s readiness.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead continuous improvement initiatives as related to Lean Enterprise methodology, especially Leadership Development.
  • Provide HR generalist support and assist in day-to-day activities of the HR Department, such as: HR reporting and ad-hoc data analysis; coordination and management in conjunction with other HR Staff of Leave of Absences, Short-Term Disability, investigations, and employee relations guidance to employees and managers.          
  • Assist with the maintenance of all HR data which includes SAP employee data, processing of forms, Legal/Policy Updates, and other employee support affecting success of an exempt / non-exempt workforce.

 

Location:

  • Assignment for internship program will be the Nestlé Quality Assurance Center (NQAC) located in Dublin, Ohio.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong people agility, active listening skill, and emotional resiliency
  • Must have strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills preferred; ability to analyze data and reach independent conclusions preferred
  • Proficiency preferred in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access) and an HRIS system
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work with most levels of employees and management within the organization
  • Must possess medium/moderate presentation and training skill
  • Strong grasp of Federal & State Employment Laws

 

Education Requirements:

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or related field (e.g. Business, Communication, Industrial Psychology)
  • Degree completed by June 2025

 

Experience Requirements:

  • An educational or work/professional history of progressive improvement/advancement highly preferred; Human Resources or related internship/co-op preferred

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Available to start the program beginning June 2023 - August 2023
