Salary from €125k depending on experience + car allowance + bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25 day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and inspirational Head of Sales to join our Nestlé Ireland team based at our head office in Dublin, Ireland. Reporting to the Country Business Manager Ireland, this is a fantastic time to join the Nestlé Ireland Leadership Team in this high profile and strategically important role with direct responsibility for the sales function in Ireland across 6 Nestlé categories (Confectionery, Coffee, Purina, Nutrition, Dairy, Food), and indirect support for Cereals, Nestlé Professional, and Health Science businesses. As the Head of Sales in the Ireland market, you will lead a Customer Business Team of 24 colleagues, including 5 direct reports, and have routine contact with key customers from Senior buyers to Board level.

A day in the life of a Head of Sales ….
This is a fast paced and challenging role that will see you lead the sales team working across category and functions within Nestlé to deliver agreed objectives through best in class Joint Business Plans, built through strong collaborative, strategic planning and execution with our Customers, to ensure we deliver great outcomes for Nestlé & our valued Customers that delight consumers and shoppers.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide strategic direction/input for development of Channel, Customer/Distributor and Field sales strategies in line with business requirements (Market & Business Strategy and Operational plan)
- Leverage Nestlé in the Market (NIM): lead the internal collaboration dynamic between category & sales from a NIM perspective to develop "one face to the customer", be the voice of the customer internally and define the most efficient Route to Market
- Develop and communicate key priorities for the sales organisation (Channel, Customer, business development, distribution penetration, visibility etc) to ensure we respond to the needs of the consumer and customer in a strategic and agile way.
- Accountable and responsible to ensure achievement of agreed sales targets/KPIs
- Manage overall Field Sales execution and e-commerce team to ensure that the external engagement of the commercial agenda is managed through the line with customer head office
- Ensure effective liaison with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to manage trade off and drive for overall objectives achievement
- Be an active member of the Ireland Leadership team, driving performance whilst helping develop the future direction of the sales function across key workstreams.
- Drive performance and capability across a large team of direct and indirect team members through coaching and inspiring them to be the best that they can be
- Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the complex external environment and have an active presence externally. Director level customer and industry contact strategy and matrix
- Lead the Digital Transformation agenda for the Sales function using technology to optimise our strategies and investments across our categories and portfolio.
What will make you successful
To be successful in this role, you will already have some fantastic senior sales experience under your belt and ideally have multi-category experience. You will be well versed in working together with internal teams and with customers at all levels building and executing commercial strategy.
With recent experience of leading diverse teams in a collaborative way, you will be able to inspire and engage others to deliver business growth whilst acting as a real ambassador for the Nestlé brands.
You will also have:
- Successfully delivered on KPIs consistently over time, especially top and bottom line business results & winning market share.
- A strategic mindset with extensive organisational and leadership experience
- Strong coaching and motivational skills
- The ability to work collaboratively through impact and influence across a wide variety of teams, functions and cultures
- Proven ability to influence at Senior Level
- A good understanding of key business operations e.g., Finance, Supply chain etc.
- Technical’ depth in a combination of Sales, Marketing and Commercial development.
- Be a channel expert and be passionate about building our joint business plans with our customers.
