Position Summary
We are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Paediatric Product Specialist in Ireland to work as part of a winning team covering Healthcare Practitioners & healthcare organisations with a complete range of infant nutrition products under our SMA brand. The region covers Ireland; your ideal base would be the Dublin / Midlands region of Ireland.

A day in the life of a Paediatric Product Specialist...
As a Paediatric Product Specialist, you will be responsible for compliantly driving recommendation/advocacy/prescriptions for our products, through delivering ethical and science based information, building the image and the role of Nestlé Nutrition products with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Healthcare Organisations, within the specified territory.
The Paediatric Product Specialist is the key point of contact between Nestlé Nutrition and the HCPs, being at the centre of the Omnichannel Engagement process, interacting with HCPs and Healthcare customers, deeply understanding their needs and preferred way of engagement.
You will orchestrate all available tools & content to provide accurate and scientific information to HCPs and key Stakeholders both online and off line.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all activities comply with the Nestlé Policy implementing the WHO Code.
- Advocacy: ensure advocacy towards Nestlé Infant Nutrition by delivering credible information and services to all stakeholders: HCIs, HCPs, KOLs and Medical Associations. Apply the acquired skills and incorporate the knowledge on Nestlé products, our competitors, the territory's dynamics, the HCP's profile in the discussion and contribute to long-term, mutually beneficial, trusted relationships.
- Successful HCP engagement: mastering the omnichannel engagement by understanding the needs of each HCP and leveraging all available channels. Orchestrate the personalized support and communication for each HCP to deliver the right content at the right time via the right channel. Permanently improve the efficiency of the engagement (ongoing process) by an analysing the performance of each channel/communication and managing the relevant KPIs.
- Creating a specific territory and then manage the assigned territory in order to grow recommendation versus competition and market share. Consider requirements of individual HCP, different ways of engagement and guidelines set for Master data management, master schedule planning, HCP call rate, call strike rate, HCP coverage, HCP surveys and gathering of data for insights that can drive the marketing and territory action plans. Contribute to the outputs required by these plans with specific focus on hospital usage, HCP and KOL advocacy and recommendation and prescription data as well as execution of Scientific activities.
What will make you successful
We are looking for a commercially orientated individual who is passionate about infant nutrition. You may have experience gained as a dietician, a healthcare professional, or within pharmaceuticals, nutrition or paediatrics.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Science related degree with Nutrition/ Dietetics or Life Sciences
- Comprehensive working knowledge of HSE structures, policies and relevant customer types
- Experience in identifying and working with HCPs and key drivers for developing relationships
- Ability to actively listen to customers' needs and create a positive and mutually beneficial experience, keeping outcomes of babies at the heart of all we do
- Excellent communication and engagement skills both in person and virtual with active listening
- Analytical skills and Dynamic Prioritization: Digital and data literacy with solid decision making skills
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, independent and autonomous, with self-motivation, service and solution orientated.
