Shopper & Activation Marketing Manager
Location: Dublin (Hybrid working – approx. 2 flexible days a week at our fantastic office)
Salary up to €58,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25 day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary
Nestlé Ireland has an exciting opportunity for a Shopper & Activation Marketing Manager to join our Confectionery team where you will identify, execute and evaluate online and in-store shopper activation that delivers competitive advantage, through detailed understanding of Nestlé brand and category plans, customer strategies, shopper insight and brilliant execution, delivering overall market share growth for Nestlé Confectionery.

A day in the life of a Shopper Activation & Marketing Manager …
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Develop, own and execute the customer activation calendar based on shopper insights and aligned to customer commercial strategy. Detail shopper and category activations by channel, customer and brand.
- Gain alignment and share the activity calendar with the wider teams internally and engage and inspire retailers – sell the benefits of the investment and the role it plays to convert and drive share gains over time
- Execute post-campaign assessments to determine effectiveness in achieving brand marketing and sales objectives, ROI, and executional KPIs and communicate those results with cross functional partners
- Own retailer shopper inputs into the annual planning process. Provide specific customer context to aid development of optimal shopper ideas/execution ongoing
- Creation of best in class in-store and online executional requirements for key seasons, including Easter and Christmas
- Lead the creation of customer facing sales tools and trade communication for all channel/field sales teams to deliver inspirational customer sell-ins of annual and individual activities
- Manage the assigned budgets effectively including creative development, activation, 3rd party suppliers and retail media (online and offline) to maximise efficiencies and strong ROI
- Manage outsourced service provider for sample product, POS storage and distribution ensuring delivery against key internal KPIs including our sustainability agenda
- Ensure excellent execution of all NPD launches across all channels, including, in-store, online and digital.
- Develop detailed understanding of your customers shoppers, and use this understanding to proactively identify opportunities to align with customer events and strategies and to deliver better shopper experiences.
What will make you successful?
We are looking for a passionate self-starter with a curious and creative mindset to succeed in an exciting, fast paced channel. You will also have:
- An understanding of shopper marketing, category management and merchandising principles
- Strong data analysis and insight generation experience
- Experience working on global FMCG brand(s)
- Proven track record of successfully launching products both online and offline in a complex mature market
- Experience, of creating digital & social communication, agency management and leveraging insights to create action
- P&L Management, Budget Management experience
- Experience working with major retailers, ideally including using loyalty card data
- Ability to build strong relationships internally within matrix and multi-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
- Needs to be highly motivated and able to work independently without supervision, and as part of a fast paced team.
- Evidence of flexibility and agility, and use of initiative to solve challenges rapidly and often creatively
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver exceptional results creatively
- An understanding and experience of working with creative agencies, field teams and retailers is desirable.
