POSITION SUMMARY
Our factory in Dunkirk, located along Lake Erie's Historic Chadwick Bay Harbor, is a hidden gem situated 50 miles southwest of Buffalo, New York. With its picturesque Great Lakes waterfront, beautiful beaches, ski resorts, vineyards, and boutique wineries, our associates take great pride in calling Dunkirk their home. Since its establishment in 1971, the factory has undergone several expansions to accommodate the growing production of beloved household brands such as Pro Plan®, Beggin®, T-Bonz®, and Busy®. Our factory is dedicated to environmental sustainability, implementing measures such as water conservation, renewable electricity investment, and zero waste management.
As an Extruder Operator, you’ll be responsible for the operation of equipment in the processing area, making you an integral player of the production process. Safety is our top priority, and your work will ensure that our warehouse remains a safe environment.
- Safely produce quality products at the right rate and right time
- Operate any and all processing equipment including extruder and slurry
- Disassembling, reassembling, and cleaning of equipment
- Perform quality checks and equipment changeovers
- Perform material handler functions such as trash, sanitation, and inventory
- Meet all Safety, Health, Quality, and Environmental requirements when performing job duties
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years’ of experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related fast paced environment
Other
- Must be open to working 2nd shift, overtime and weekends.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $20.99 an hour to start. The pay progression plan follows: Introductory Stage 1 $22.71, Introductory Stage 2 $24.98, Bid Operator rate $33.85 when fully qualified. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
