POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a Factory Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, you will ensure proper functioning of quality operation aspects such as ingredient management and receiving, formulation, product quality and safety, hold product management, release criteria, net contents, and sensory program. You will provide technical support for the factory in regard to all quality aspects during production while upholding safety and quality standards.

 

  • Oversee process to ensure products produced in the factory adhere to the standards of quality and food safety.
  • Lead operational support and improvement activities for the quality stream including but not limited to QA checks, problem solving, project implementation, and standard creation, revision, and implementation.
  • Environmental testing in Dry Pet and Specialty Pet areas. Enter results, initiate and follow-up with corrective actions.
  • Lead and support the hold management process, status control and final disposition. Conduct sampling and testing of hold product.
  • Support the factory’s laboratories with equipment upkeep, calibration, internal control plans, and training.
  • Maintain QA programs including but not limited to Quality Collaboratives, References and Proficiency samples.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ years of quality assurance in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related environment

 

Other

  • Must be comfortable working some weekends and holidays.

The approximate pay range for this position is $39,000 to $57,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
