Position Summary

As a Processing Utility Operator, you will operate equipment in the processing area. Your primary responsibility is to produce quality product in time and at optimum production rates. This role is an integral player of inventory control, quality and accuracy and will work closely with local quality assurance, warehouse, and inventory experts. Safety is our top priority and your work will ensure that our warehouse always remains a safe environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet Nestle Purina Petcare guidelines for safe forklift operation
  • Responsible for the operation of equipment in the unloading, grinding, and processing areas
  • Operate slurry and whole grain grinding equipment
  • Unload ingredients and assist in inventory control
  • Assist with plant sanitation, properly handling sanitizing agents. Includes sweeping, washing, emptying waste containers, shutdown, and clean up

 

Basic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related fast paced environment
  • Must be comfortable working 2nd or 3rd shift
