POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a Production Operator, you’ll train in several functional areas within the manufacturing environment so you can effectively provide support to our production teams. Production Operator positions could be available within our various departments including Dry Pet Processing, Dry Pet Packing, and Specialty Pet.  The primary responsibilities in these roles include but are not limited to operating various lines of equipment in production, packaging, forklift operation, and providing relief for absences or vacations. Safety is a top priority at Purina, much of your responsibility will focus on ensuring that our equipment and machinery remain in top-notch condition.   • Safely produce quality products at the right rate and right time
  • Disassemble, reassemble and clean production equipment
  • Perform quality checks and equipment changeovers
  • Follow Nestle Purina Petcare guidelines for safe forklift operation
  • Utilize computer technology to effectively perform job requirements
  • Attend and complete all trainings as scheduled
  • Meet all Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental requirements when performing job duties

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related fast paced environment

 

Other

  • Must be open to all shifts including nights and weekends.

 

The starting hourly pay for this position is $21.72. As you progress, the pay will increase according to the following stages: Introductory Stage 1 at $23.50, Introductory Stage 2 at $25.85. Once you become a fully qualified Bid Operator, the pay will range from $33.82 to $35.03, depending on your position placement. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
