Position Summary

 

As a Quality Bacti Lab Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining quality standards during the development of cat and dog food product. Work in various areas and functions of the plant to ensure operators are performing the appropriate sanitation activities and quality checks per company policy and procedures.   • Environmental testing-Dry Pet and Specialty Pet weekly sampling.  Sample and test priority 1, 2 and line sample sites weekl. Enter results in the Factory Profile Tool.  Initiate and follow-up with corrective actions and additional testing. 
  • Responsible for being the final QA step of release for non-hold product, and executing product release in SAP, post-testing.  Document results using MES applications and investigate circumstances in which non-hold product did not release. 
  • Test Finished Product as prescribed by Corporate for Dry and Specialty Pet production areas.
  • Test LAD for Yeast & Mold and Total Plate Count, Factory compressed air systems, and potable water systems per ICP/QMS.  Responsible for initiating the corrective action process in the event of out-of-specification results and continuation of monitoring through issue resolution.
  • Participate and achieve successful results on the quarterly bacteriological Salmonella and General Microbiology collaboratives.
  • Maintain and administer Internal Control Plan and QMS for the Bacti Lab, including maintenance and verification of adequacy of all Bacteriology lab equipment, calibrations, and ensuring hygienic lab conditions.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ years of quality assurance in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or related environment
