We are now looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to be based in East London Factory. 


In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and reviewing the implementation of the company’s quality systems to ensure compliance with NQMS, Nestlé Corporate and ISO 22000 requirements.
  • Updating and maintaining the site’s Operating Quality Manual and related documentation
  • Developing, maintaining and coordinating the site’s internal audit program and audit team
  • Driving continuous improvement programs for the implementation of Quality Management System
  • Ensuring compliance with GLOBE Quality standards
  • Providing management information on the level of compliance and efficiency of the Quality Systems

 

A day in the life of a Quality Systems Specialist:

  • Coordinate all activities related to the setup and maintenance of the Factory Operating Quality Manual
  • Ensure that Quality instructions and procedures are maintained and updated
  • Develop a Quality System Audit team and a yearly audit plan
  • Ensure that the audit plan is carried out and amended where changes occur
  • Develop and maintain the corrective action system
  • Drive the internal audit program and monitor corrective action identified to ensure it is carried out in a timely manner and is effective
  • Inform and update the Management on all activities and trends pertaining to the Quality Management System
  • Assist in the preparation of the Factory MRO
  • Present the audit findings and relevant data during the factory MRO
  • Ensure improvement and performance of the Quality Systems is assessed and KPIs are recorded and tracked
  • Develop and ensure delivery of induction and quality system training modules
  • Develop a proactive approach to problem solving, promote quality awareness and permanently be on the lookout for ways of improving the quality system
  • Conduct regular GLOBE QA system health checks and manage corrective actions
  • Ensure that a self-assessment is carried out on each new / existing Technical Instruction and that an implementation plan is developed for complete implementation

 

What will make you successful?

  • Diploma/Degree in Chemistry/Microbiology or Quality Management
  • 5 years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Audit experience
  • Auditor qualification for Quality System (ISO 9001)
  • Knowledge of quality systems
  • Knowledge of relevant manufacturing operations
  • Proficient in the use of web-based system tools/applications (GPS)
  • Understanding of requirements of a document control system
