Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager serves as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner to factory leadership, driving people strategies that enable operational excellence, workforce capability, and business performance. This role leads the end-to-end Human Resources agenda for a large manufacturing facility, translating business priorities into actionable talent strategies while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

 

As a member of the site leadership team, the Human Resources Manager partners closely with leaders to strengthen organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, labor and employee relations, succession planning, and change management. This role oversees all HR service delivery for the facility and leads a team of HR professionals responsible for supporting employees and managers across the site.

 

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep HR expertise and a passion for developing people, coaching leaders, and driving organizational growth within a complex manufacturing environment.
This position is onsite at our Eau Claire, WI factory. 

         
 
Key Responsibilities:
Execute HR Strategy 
• Lead overall Human Resources service delivery to the business through the HR department, serving as a strategic partner to assigned site/business leadership and ensuring HR activities are aligned with corporate objectives, business priorities, and key initiatives.
• Oversee and provide precise execution of Human Resources initiatives, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee communications, appreciation events, and other people-related programs.
• Shape and support a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged culture that facilitates Nestlé’s goals and initiatives.
• Ensure organizational changes and change initiatives are seamlessly implemented through effective change leadership, timely communication, and organizational development action plans that minimize adverse impact on employees.


Employee/Labor Relations 
• Manage employee relations and provide guidance and support to employees and leaders in a manner that supports compliance with Corporate, Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations.
• Counsel facility leaders on policies, procedures, people management, employee development, and appropriate business resolution steps; perform investigations when required.
• Navigate ambiguous, complex, and sensitive issues while promoting effective conflict resolution and sound decision-making.
• Assist leaders in understanding applicable federal and state labor laws and support consistent application of employment practices.
• Ensure effective working relationships with and between managers and employees, and act as a liaison between employee relations teams and unions where applicable.


Performance Management & Learning 
• Provide coaching and development to site leaders and employees, as well as HR direct reports as needed.
• Implement and support performance management and succession planning programs to strengthen leadership capability, talent development, and achievement of company goals.
• Utilize performance, talent, and organizational planning management systems to drive objective and development plan setting, performance calibration, and talent development.
• Facilitate and conduct training for leaders and employees to build capability, support change readiness, and enable effective execution of HR and business priorities.
• Ensure an effective culture and working environment that is open, empowering, fair, equitable, inclusive, and engaging through analysis of Human Resources scorecard data, survey results, and other workforce management data.


Compliance 
• Drive compliance and understanding of company policies and procedures while supporting consistent application across the facility.
• Support a holistic safety focus by driving people-related safety goals and initiatives.


Recruitment 
• Develop the HR strategy to attract, retain and develop employees to support the organization’s short- and long-term business goals. 
• Perform other duties as assigned and support ad hoc HR projects or initiatives as needed.

 

Experience and Education Requirements:
• 7+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience working within an HR strategic business partner model in addition to supporting manufacturing and/or closely related organizations 
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a closely related field required, Master's degree a plus
• Strong knowledge of government regulations related to employment such as FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, etc. 
• Ability to strategically impact the culture through talent management and coaching, with a focus on risk mitigation, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
• Demonstrated experience in change management, including successful leadership during workplace transformations, ensuring seamless transitions and effective integration of new processes and systems. 
• Proven experience in leading and managing a diverse HR team, fostering an inclusive work environment while driving team performance and achieving organizational HR objectives 
• Labor negotiations/union experience through handling mediation/arbitration/grievance processes.  
• Expected to maintain a strong floor presence engaging with employees and supporting operations.
• Expected to support irregular schedules across multiple shifts to support a 24/7 operation.

The approximate pay range for this position is $110,000.00 to $140,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
