Job Description: 

The Factory Supply Planning Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to both the Materials Planning and the Production Scheduling teams to ensure key company objectives are met onsite. This includes developing, coaching, supervising and providing day-to-day guidance to the team. This role will also be focused on continuous improvement, key operational tasks and other duties as assigned. This role works onsite Monday through Friday at Nestle Health Science USA’s manufacturing location in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This is also a People Leader role that will manage 4 direct reports onsite in Eau Claire, WI.  
 

Responsibilities: 
 

Production Scheduling 
 

•    Coordinates daily, medium-term, and long-term production schedules for Eau Claire, Wisconsin Factory.  
•    Analyzes the Corporate master schedule to integrate into the Plant’s capabilities and constraints; at the same time, communicate with Corporate Planners regarding priorities, yields, production attainment, and other pertinent issues. 
•    Conducts weekly production planning meeting to present finalized production schedule to plant management.
•    Utilizes the weeks of supply reports to react to production issues and generates production requirements in Globe systems. 
•    Works with all Manufacturing, Technical and Engineering departments’ coordination of projects within the Plant and balancing supply chain needs with the needs of those departments (Production, Quality, and Engineering).
 

Leading Supply/Planning Team 
 

•    Provide leadership and direction to the Material Planning/Production Scheduling staff to ensure key objectives are met; this includes developing, coaching, supervising and providing day-to-day guidance to the team.   
 

Ensuring Supply 
 

•    Generate Material Requirements Plan and evaluate for proper material needs; this should be done in a method that controls working capital/stock cover balanced with flexibility to ensure supply.  
•    Create purchase orders in SAP and execute Purchase Orders to the vendors and track the confirmations of these orders; this includes trouble-shooting any delivery issues that may arise with an order/supplier.
•    Communicate and confirm purchase orders with Suppliers and will also coordinate with Nestle Corporate Buyers to set up and maintain contracts.
•    Create and Manage material shipments between Eau Claire and Gateway, Wisconsin.
 

Operational Tasks and Continuous Improvement 
 

•    Serve as contact for elevated issues within all material planning elements; this includes supply shortages, order discrepancies, and requests for changes in procedures.
•    Take part in and also lead meetings with other departments and corporate in order to assist operations; this may include miscellaneous work assigned from these meetings.
•    Monitor the late items report and open order reports and will also acquire the necessary feedback from suppliers and other planners to facilitate a new plan when necessary.
•    Focus on Departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and improvement projects in relation to Factory Dashboards, NQMS, and NCE (i.e.: Workload Balancing, Stock Cover, Supplier Service, Schedule Attainment, Exceptional Inventory, etc.); this includes reporting, investigating, and improvement.


Safety and Environmental 
 

•    Follow the Plant safety rules, report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately to Management. 
•    Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs. 
•    Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc.; Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.).
 

Quality
 

•    Follow Factory food safety, quality objectives and targets.
•    Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices and report food safety and quality issues immediately.
•    Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs. 
•    Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply. 
 

Requirements: 
 

•    High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or in a related field preferred. 
•    3-4+ years of relevant work experience in Supply Planning, Production, Inventory Control, Materials Planning and/or Production Scheduling required. 
•    1-2+ years People Leadership experience in leading, motivating, coaching and influencing teams and direct reports required.  
•    Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Outlook/PowerPoint) and also in MS Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Charts, Graphs, etc.) required. 
•    Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, time management and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships). 
•    Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to both analyze and interpret data, story tell and build quantitative models of business problems required. 
•    Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and business priorities with minimal supervision. 
•    Must possess creative thinking skills and problem-solving skills to solve key business challenges. 
•    Ability to establish and implement processes and systems to improve working methods within the team and the organization (inspiring change management). 
•    Experience with CRM or ERP systems including SAP, Power BI or other systems required. 
•    Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business. 
 

The approximate pay range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
