Position Summary
- Perform general and preventive maintenance work including mechanical, 1 & 3 phase electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and fabrication
- Apply working knowledge to provide preventative and corrective maintenance support for the factory, including heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, high pressure boilers, air compressors, waste water and process ammonia chillers
- Sample and test water and use corrective measures to correct out of spec samples
- Working knowledge of PLC’s computer interfaces, and other related electrical control devices.
- Account for all work in the AUU System
- Must be computer literate for proficient operation of the Maintenance Management System and spare parts documentation
- Effectively communicate daily issues through documentation in MMS, area log books, electric pass down and verbal communication with peers
- Assist in maintaining and documenting assigned P&IDs, electrical control drawings, process descriptions & equipment tagging
- Safe and efficient operation of road vehicles and fork truck
- May be required to obtain certification for ammonia refrigeration (GCAP)
- May be required to obtain boiler training (GCAP)
- Follow the plant safety rules; report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately
- Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets
- Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
- Understand the environmental aspects of the position and take action to reduce these environmental impacts by conserving paper, electricity, water etc. Will also recycle all appropriate materials (paper, plastic, food, etc.)
- Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets
- Follow Nestle Good Manufacturing Practices; report food safety and quality issues immediately.
- Maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to Nestle Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs
- Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated on QMS, OJT's and SOP's that apply.
- Understand and apply the principles of NCE and continuous improvement in the work area
- Maintain a clean and 5S compliant work area
- Maintain a positive attitude and follow the values set forth in the EC Compass
- Communicate with Team Advisor and co-workers
- Work variable 12 hour shifts (days or nights as per business need) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
- Be flexible and work overtime as needed
This role may perform maintenance work in any department as needed, i.e. Tetra, Pouch, Glassline, VTIS, Utilities, Process, etc. which is a great way to learn the business!
Regular hourly rate: $30.62
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable work experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Complete company-provided forklift certification
Preferred:
- Experience working in industrial maintenance
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
