Job Description: 
 

The Senior Materials Planning Specialist will be responsible for purchasing materials (ie.: raw materials and/or finished good components), required by site operations to meet inventory requirements and deliver on customer service goals. This role also includes coordinating with the Planning Team and Site Production Schedulers and working with all Vendors, Brand Managers and Procurement. This Senior Materials Planning Specialist also reviews the master plan, purchasing required materials and balancing orders to successfully execute the production schedule. This role will work onsite at Nestle Health Science’s manufacturing plant in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
 

Responsibilities:

•    Purchase all raw materials and/or finished good components.
•    Track orders and conduct vendor communication to ensure timely delivery.
•    Maintain inventory levels at the site. 
•    Collaborate with customers and suppliers to prioritize and deliver materials on time and in full. 
•    Initiate problem resolution, resolving routine questions and problems, referring complex situations to Manager. 
•    Identify ways to improve purchasing and inventory for assigned area. 
•    Participate in process improvements efforts for site. 
•    Provide direction on matters regarding supply chain, forecasting, production planning and development. 
•    Communicate findings and recommendations to management and other business functions. 
•    Utilize MRP reports, Forecast Demand Reports, Product Wheel Tool as well as Automated Packaging Systems (APS). 
•    Provide training and best practices to business owners for sustainability.
•    Help team put health checks in place to maintain business operations.
•    Perform additional duties and requirements as assigned by direct Manager. 

Requirements: 

•    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration. 
•    3+ years of relevant work experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or in Project Management required (equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered – i.e.: High School Diploma or 4+ years of relevant work experience). 
•    Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required. 
•    Experience using ERP systems (such as SAP preferred) in a CPG company. 
•    Must have excellent communication (oral and written), time management, organizational and stakeholder management skills (ability to build and develop strong stakeholder management skills). 
•    Must have exposure to KPIs and Master Data Management. 
•    Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines for minimal supervision. 
•    Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills. 
•    Must be able to influence without authority and manage key stakeholders. 
•    Must be team-oriented and have strong negotiation skills. 
 

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
