Position Summary:
The Technical Stores Supervisor manages the maintenance stockroom to ensure continuous plant operations. This role oversees the inventory, organization, and distribution of engineering spare parts maintenance supplies. The primary goal is to minimize equipment downtime by ensuring high spare parts availability through expert SAP utilization while strictly maintaining food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance standards.      

   
Key Responsibilities:
• SAP Data Management: Maintain data integrity for all maintenance materials, BOMs, and storage locations in SAP PM/MM.y

 

Daily MRP Execution: Run and analyze daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in SAP to generate procurement triggers for low-stock spare parts and perform ordering.

 

Inventory Control: Track stock levels of spare parts; gather and monitor storeroom MRO key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory turns, budget performance, open issues, supplier negotiation opportunities, and parts-search effectiveness to support availability, cost control, and continuous improvement.

 

Stock Optimization: Set accurate SAP reorder points, safety stock thresholds, and maximum limits.  Perform annual slow moving and part classification review.

 

Kitting Operations: Organize and pre-package specific parts needed for scheduled preventive maintenance.

 

Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers to track order statuses, expedite shipments, and resolve discrepancies.

 

Receiving & Inspection: Verify incoming parts against SAP purchase orders for correct specifications and quality.

 

Space Management: Optimize stockroom layout using 5S principles for fast and safe parts retrieval.

 

Auditing & Counting: Lead regular SAP-driven cycle counts and annual physical inventory walls to eliminate variances.

 

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule stockroom attendants.  Provide leadership, development, and support to team members under guidance of Nestle Leadership Frame Work.

 

Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, hazardous material storage, and lifting procedures.  Follow factory safety and environmental objectives and targets.

 

Quality Compliance: Ensure stored parts and lubricants meet food-grade hygiene and regulatory standards and Nestle Quality Management Systems


Experience and Education Requirements:
• Associate degree in Materials / Inventory Management or mechanical, engineering, or related field. Will consider 5+ years of experience supervising technical store or maintenance stockroom in lieu of degree
• 3+ years of experience supervising technical store or maintenance stockroom, including direct reports.  

 

Preferred:
Education: Bachelors degree in degree in Materials / Inventory Management or mechanical, engineering, or related field.

 

Experience: Prior experience as a Technician, Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Engineer or similar, familiarity with liquid food processing & packaging equipment, proficiency in SAP (specifically Plant Maintenance and Materials Management modules)

 

• SAP Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced experience using SAP (specifically Plant Maintenance
and Materials Management modules).

 

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with liquid processing and packaging equipment, pumps, valves, stainless piping, and food-grade components.

 

Regulatory Awareness: Solid understanding of FDA, GMP, and food safety standards

 

Core Competencies: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and sharp problem-solving abilities. Ability to use Microsoft Suite products including Copilot.   #LI-SF1
