Supply Chain Intern 2023-24: Inbound & Outbound Logistics

Assist and learn the processes of Warehousing in Supply Chain management. Support supervisors in the areas of Inbound & Outbound Logistics (Receiving/Shipping). Provide day-to-day support of the Receiving/Shipping Office, including assisting truck drivers, processing paperwork, small package processing and weekly load planning. Assist with various Supply Chain Projects.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES
•    Support and maintain Shift Hand Off (SHO) Boards for multiple locations in the warehouse.

•    Perform studies and facilitate projects to improve the operations process. This should be both short-term and long-term continuous improvement.

•    Identifies opportunities to eliminate non-value added activities and streamline job tasks to create a more efficient working environment.

•    Provide operational and clerical support to the Material Control Department.

•    Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets 

•    Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets 

•    Performs other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Required:  Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or similar field.

 

EXPERIENCE:
No work experience is necessary.
Preferred:  Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Supply Chain experience, priority given to candidates with Nestle experience. This role is based on-site in Eau Claire, WI. 

 

SKILLS:
•    Ability to work flexible hours
•    Above average communication skills (written and oral)
•    Service oriented attitude
•    Strong listening skills
•    Detail oriented
•    Problem solving skills
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; SAP experience preferred
