Position Summary
The factory owner of Pre-Requisite Programs responsible to ensure systems are in place, driving Food Safety and Compliance as the base for maintaining consumer trust and preference. This position also is responsible for auditing for compliance against regulatory/ internal requirements and facilitating training. This position is located at the Nestle Nutrition Gateway Factory, 5023 Venture Dr. Eau Claire, WI. We are the sole Nestle Nutrition Factory producing Powdered Infant Formula for North America.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
People and know-how:
- Develop and maintain competences on Facility Prerequisite Programs, by facilitating and providing training opportunities as well as day-to-day coaching on the production floor.
- Acts as primary contact for the site contracted services, supporting sanitation and pest control.
- Provides oversite for factory sanitation and leads the major CiP midrinse inspections.
- Leads the continuous improvement of the pre-requisite programs at the facility through the development of goals and objectives.
Quality System:
- Setup, manage, enforce, analyze trends and verification activities related to Pre-Requisite Programs.
- Ensure PRP Risk Assessment, Zoning assessment and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) are up to date.
- Participates as a comprehensive QA interface on engineering projects/installations including but not limited to hygiene, infant formula GMP and NMS/ISO/FSSC requirements.
- Utilizes, writes, and supports Product Protection Plans for the prevention of food safety or quality deviations to the processes and products.
Pre-Requisite Programs/HACCP:
- Identify and interpret Pre-Requisite Program verification activities and develop improvement initiatives. Communicate and provide guidance on implementation and sustainment.
- Demonstrate that PRPs are in place and managed as part of unit routines (supporting documentation, PRP verification & monitoring activities, PRPs robustness, and limited gaps under control) and act as subject matter expert for facility supporting HACCP.
Hygiene:
- Act as a GMP champion, coordinating development of standards using NCE concepts and design and ensuring compliance to the internal Nestlé and external regulatory requirements. Able to apply the principles of NCE and continuous improvement in the work area.
Quality auditing and verification:
- Conducts GMP, foreign body, and pest control inspections, write reports, and manages deviation documentation and gap closure.
- Participates in supplier/co-manufacture audits as required.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Chemistry, Food Technology, Biology, Microbiology or other related fields or 3 years of hygiene related experience in regulated food or pharmaceutical industry.
EXPERIENCE:
- Operational Experience
- Demonstrated capability to lead a group, preferred supervisor position in a factory e.g., Quality Systems/Specialist, etc.
Business Experience
Different positions in Quality. Proven track record delivering results working with cross-functional teams. Work experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (such as pharmaceutical, food, and chemical, healthcare).
