Position Summary

Execute tasks to assist in various business operations within Material Control, supporting both the Eau Claire Factory and Eau Claire Distribution Center Facilities.   Focuses on maintaining healthy systems through departmental healthchecks, inventory reconciliations, material/transportation planning, and continuous improvement projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and clerical support to the Material Control Department at both EC and EC DC
  • Provide indirect leadership to the MC Department by coaching, guiding and counseling
  • Delegate tasks to MC Associates as needed
  • Communicate effectively upwardly, laterally and directly to all levels on all essential matters to coordinate Logistics needs with External Vendors and/or Nestle Personnel in other locations
  • Assist with purchasing and planning activities, work scheduling, building/equipment upkeep, and the facilitation of data collection and reporting related to performance, quality and costs
  • Create and Manage material shipments between EC and EC DC as well as outside warehouses
  • Coordinate equipment, returns, inbound freight, or outbound freight needs
  • Receive Less Truck Load (LTL) and small package shipments into the plant, secure the packages, and coordinate efficient delivery of goods to appropriate plant personnel/departments according to established procedures. (May involve lifting up to 50 lbs.)
  • Maintain accurate materials and equipment inventory: Monitoring trailer status, quantity, location, and pool size. Ensure all inventory reconciliations are done in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare and track packages, returns, and sundries being sent out of plant
  • Focus on Departmental Key Performance Indicators, charting, reporting, investigating, and improvement
  • Take part in and also lead meetings with other departments and corporate in order to assist operations.  This may include miscellaneous work assigned from these meetings.
  • Provide orientation, training & development to individual team members, in support of high performance team goals
  • Maintain our “safety first” culture by having a zero defect and zero waste attitude in order to provide a safe workplace for all associates
  • Follow factory safety, quality objectives & targets

Requirements & Preferred Education & Experiences:

  • Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management.  Will consider 2+ years related work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 3 years of experience with Logistics roles
  • Logistics experience in warehousing and/or transportation management
  • SAP experience is preferred, including SAP Order to Cash Process
