POSITION SUMMARY

 

As the Focused Improvement Specialist, you are responsible for leading performance improvement projects with a team of technicians. You will utilize problem solving techniques such as DMAIC, Six Sigma, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dye), and Lean manufacturing methodologies.

 

  • Lead and guide Focused Improvement (FI) Technicians Team to execute problem solving projects for the factory in order to:
    • Identify and eliminate losses during startup and in ongoing operations
    • Identify project opportunities for FI Technician team to take on
    • Build Problem Solving capability within full factory team
    • Prevent top losses on factory equipment and processes
  • Act as problem solving methodology key resource for the factory:
    • Conduct data analysis using digital tracking tools (RedZone, Power BI, etc.) to identify opportunities for loss reduction
    • Actively participate on Focused Improvement Pillar team
    • Lead and support SMED projects to optimize changeover times
    • Identify root causes for packaging and ingredient variances to reduce waste
    • Lead additional Focused Improvement projects as needed

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of operational experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environment

OR

  • Associate degree with two years of operational experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, military, or related environment


Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Business Analytics, Manufacturing, Statistics, or related field 
  • Six Sigma Certification(s)

 

The approximate range for this position is $61,000 - $98,000.  Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
