POSITION SUMMARY

 

As a Production Line Leader, you are responsible for strategic performance management of a production area.  You will communicate with factory teams on matters pertaining to building operations and ensure all operations are performed in a safe, quality, efficient and cost-effective manner. You will provide technical direction as well as lead and communicate continuous improvement initiatives through coaching, feedback, and recognition.

 

The schedule of Line Leaders will be flexible to ensure time spent with operational personnel on all shifts to support their teams and business needs.

 

  • Assist the Operations Manager in developing department and team safe work practices/training documents and help to establish goals, strategies and measures that support plant and company. 
  • Monitor team member job training and performance to ensure that team members are focused on safe attainment of team/department goals. 
  • Actively seek opportunities for continued improvement in all operations and make recommended improvements.
  • Review operations schedule to ensure needs of the business are met, and work with maintenance to ensure time is allowed for preventative maintenance to meet business needs. 
  • Provide technical guidance to Production Team Leaders and Technical Operators. 
  • Coach, develop team, and provide feedback to production team members through monthly team meetings, shift start-up meetings, and 1:1 interaction.
  • Communicate cross functionally regarding all operations, personnel and budgetary/resource issues. 
  • Perform other job duties as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required with 1+ year experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment OR
  • High school degree or equivalent AND actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with 2+ years of experience in  manufacturing, production, military or related environment.  
  • Must be open to relocation to one or more of our production facilities across the U.S. 

 

The approximate range for this position is $80,000 - $116,000.  Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
