Perfection is at the heart of what we do, and our people are always looking for the next big idea to cement our status. We are now looking for a Transportation Hub Lead to be based in Longmeadow. 


In this role you will be tasked with meeting business objectives and accomplishing hub-wide engagement. This role develops and implements carrier sourcing strategies, transportation mode optimization, best in class planning and execution performance, methods to improve on-time delivery metrics while meeting budget targets and driving operational alignment of transportation strategies with business initiatives. The role ensures direct reports engage in ethical and sustainable practices. Drives recruitment and succession planning for the development of a sustainable best in class, forward-looking transportation hub team capable of providing solutions to complex issues and problems at strategic, tactical, and executional levels.

A day in the life of a Transportation Hub Lead:

  • Understand and champion the implementation and maintenance of underlying transportation strategies stipulated in the Transportation Management L2 from Freight Procurement through Planning and Execution to Continuous Improvement.                                    
  • Provide thought leadership when translating operational strategy and policy to empower T-Hub associates and supervisors to be engaged in active transportation management and proactive operational excellence.                             
  • Identify and develop sustainable total delivered cost savings initiatives through the effective collaboration and stakeholder management alongside upstream supply chain and technical/production partners.                                   
  • Identify and develop sustainable service and performance improvement initiatives through effective collaboration and stakeholder management alongside customer facing supply chain and sales teams.      
  • Act as representative of Nestlé Transportation within industry and champion inter-enterprise collaboration and benchmarking initiatives.                                   
  • Act as an above-market representative, participate in best-practices sharing, and assist in the development of transportation management competencies across NiM's to drive holistic benefits for Nestlé Supply Chain.                                                    

What will make you successful?

  • 10 + years of transportation, supply chain, or procurement experience    
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Supply Chain or Economics                 
  • Proven track record of thought leadership and business transformation leadership
  • Experience with frontline labor interaction and management                   
  • Experience with, or within, multiple functional facets of supply chain
